A spokesman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Kenneth Okonkwo, on Wednesday said that Sokoto State has been shut down for the party's flagbearer.
Okonkwo said the atmosphere at the venue of the ADC presidential campaign flag-off in Sokoto is showing that Nigerians have decided that President Bola Tinubu must go.
Posting on X, Okonkwo said, "Sokoto is shut down for HE Atiku Abubakar @atiku. We are not sure whether we will even reach the venue on time.
"The atmosphere is electric, the millions of suffering Nigerians have spoken - Tinubu @officialABAT must go."
The Sokoto State Presidential Campaign Coordinator, Ibrahim Lamido, had disclosed that the campaign kick-off will hold at the ADC secretariat along Ilorin Road, Sokoto.
Atiku is currently on his way to the venue of the flag-off.
