The Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, has warned boat users across the state to strictly observe safety measures, particularly during strong winds and adverse weather conditions. Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency SEMA, Hannafi Yakubu made the warning while commenting on the recent canoe mishap in the state. ‎ ‎DAILY POST had reported that four girls died when a boat carrying eight people capsized in Dudduru Lake, near Kwadige village in Dutse Local Government Area. ‎ We also reported a similar incident that happened in Malamawar Yandutse village of Ringim Local Government Area which claimed 10 lives.
