The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University, Jalingo branch, has accepted the Taraba State Government’s request for an additional two weeks to address the union’s outstanding demands, suspending plans for industrial action. The union is demanding the full implementation of the 2025 Federal Government of Nigeria/ASUU agreement, alongside other outstanding provisions affecting the university and its academic staff. The ASUU-TSU branch had, on August 13, 2026, issued a 14-day ultimatum to Governor Agbu Kefas and the Taraba State Government, demanding the implementation of the agreement or face industrial action.
