The Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, said a lack of coordination had slowed the delivery of reliable electricity supply to Nigerians. The Minister made this disclosure on Monday at the announcement of the Off-Grid Stakeholder Coordination in Abuja. According to the Minister, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Adelabu, the fragmentation of the country’s power sector is a major hindrance to rapid electrification. “Fragmentation is the quiet tax every under-coordinated sector pays: in duplicated effort, missed investment opportunities, and slower delivery of power to the Nigerians who need it most,” he said.
