Former Super Eagles forward, Peter Osaze Odemwingie has hit out at Odion Ighalo for advising Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen to leave European football for the Saudi Pro League. Ighalo made the comments in 2025, with Al-Hilal pushing to trigger Osimhen’s €75 million release clause at Napoli. They were also willing to pay the 27-year-old tens of millions of euros per year. Ighalo said Osimhen could spend two years in Saudi Arabia, secure his financial future and still return to Europe while in his late 20s.
